Devine Unveils Next great Stage at River Parks

Leading developer Devine Communities this week unveiled the second stage of its $350 million River Parks community in response to unprecedented demand from first homebuyers responding to the recent tripling of the Federal Government's First Homebuyer's Grant to $21,000.

The new stage will include 72 homesites, ranging in size from 450 sqm to 641 sqm, with land priced from $149,000 and home and land packages from $299,900.

Devine's Queensland General Manager Paul Nash said the stage had been brought forward after a sharp spike in enquiries from first homebuyers due to the Federal Government's tripling of the First Homebuyer's Grant on October 14.

"The increased Federal grant has triggered a wave of interest from first homebuyers who have realised that this is their best ever opportunity to get their foot on the home ownership ladder," Mr Nash said.

"With its fabulous facilities and location, it is no surprise that they have picked River Parks to realise their dream and we are determined to make sure that there are homesites available for them."

Earlier this month, Devine unveiled Townsville's biggest home display village at River Parks in a gala event featuring AFL legend Leigh Matthews and a host of Townsville's political and business leaders.

The Battle of the Builders Display Village includes 18 homes from nine builders, giving Townsville residents the chance to see the city's largest selection of homes in one location.

The village gives residents the opportunity to see an unprecedented variety of new home designs especially created to suit the North Queensland climate and lifestyle.

Builders on display at River Parks include DJ Jones Construction, G.J. Gardner , Glenwood Homes, Grady Homes, Lancini Homes, Lifestyle Construction NQ, North Haven Homes and Ron Jones The Builder. Devine Homes also has four of its own properties on display in the village.

Devine has stepped up construction activity at the landmark project recently opening the first of many major community parks ahead of schedule and homes have now started construction.

Set over 72 meticulously-planned hectares on completion, River Parks will be home to approximately 1,000 families surrounded by sculptured landscaping, promenades of trees, abundant parklands, open spaces, walking and cycling tracks, a neighbourhood convenience store and a beautiful park side cafe for Kelso residents.
